RECYCLING
In Burlington Township, curbside pickup occurs every other Friday
with the exception of holiday weeks.
Containers must be placed curbside by 6 a.m.
The recycling program is manged by Burlington County and any questions or concerns may be addressed by calling the Recycling Hotline
at 609-267-6889
If you missed the recycling trucks or just forgot recycling day, you may drop off the items at the Burlington Township Compost/Recycling Center
Curbside Pickup Convenient Recycling Guide
Items accepted for recycling:
- Paper - newspaper, office paper, school paper, phone books, magazines, catalogs, paperback books, brown grocery bags, cardboard, junk mail, shredded paper
- Aluminum and steel/tin food and beverage cans
- Empty non-hazardous aerosol cans
- Glass bottles and jars, throw away caps and lids
- Plastic bottles, with a number 1 or 2 on the bottom, throw awy caps and lids
- Paper cartons, milk or juice
Items which cannot be recycled:
- NO foil or foil coated items
- NO food contaminated boxes
- NO plastic bags, pails, trays, tubs, or lids
- NO hardback books
- NO bottle caps, lids, or stoppers
- NO motor oil, lubricant, paint, and pesticide containers
- NO mugs, glasses, vases, light bulbs

| Labels can stay on | May be placed in cardboard box |

| Never place in plastic bags | Never place in recycling buckets, trash cans, or plastic bags |
| Never break glass | Flatten large boxes |
| Place bottles & cans in same bucket | Remove styrofoam, plastic, and wood |
