3/8/2018 - Storm Update / Warming Center Open

The Burlington Township Police and Fire Departments would like to provide the following information to our community regarding yesterday's snow storm.

  • We are aware that there are several residents throughout town without power. Please make sure that you contact your energy provider directly to notify them of the outage and obtain an ETA on restoration.
  • For those residents that are without power, we have established a warming center within the municipal building rotunda where you can rest and charge your personal electronic devices. The warming center will be open until 7pm tonight, from 7am to 7pm on Friday March 9th, and from 7am to 7pm on Saturday March 10th if need be.
  • At present, there are no township roadways that are closed to through traffic. There may be some debris and downed limbs along the roadways. However, all roads should be passable.
  • At present, traffic lights are still out at the intersection of 541 and Elbow Lane as well as on the Burlington Bypass between Fire Station 301 and the Burlington Township Middle School. You may find cones and/or barricades at those intersections to guide/direct traffic.

Lastly, if anybody needs emergency assistance, please be sure to dial 9-1-1. Above all else, please be safe!
