12/18/2018 - Holiday Recycling Do's & Don't
Due to recent drastic changes in the recycling markets, it is critically important to leave out items that contaminate the recycling stream this holiday season such as plastic
bags, wrap, film, and Styrofoam.
Please remove these items from all cardboard boxes, gift boxes, and gift bags before placing them in curbside recycling containers or any recycling dumpster.
All cardboard boxes must be broken down and flattened. This lets us know that all unacceptable material has been removed from
the boxes. Additionally, it insures proper handling when the material gets to our processing center.
Remember, just because an item has a recycling logo does not mean it can be recycled.
